Snowbound Schnauzers

With Love and Care of Wonderful Schnauzers

Bella is Reno and Dakota baby

We love the pictures of Jake and Bella and hearing the stories that Angela tells. Jake is a wonderful companion for Bella and had wonderful training by Angela for this to happen.

Hey Julie! Happy belated Christmas

Bella is wonderful! She LOVES snow! We went to Michigan (which- getting there was tricky-more on that later) and she played in 4 ft of snow! Did you get the video and PDF I sent last month? Sorry there was no sound on the video, but it was to show you Bella barking…her whole body jumps! Its really cute. We are bell training, and she has figured out that if she rings the bells hanging on the door…Mommy comes running. I think its becoming a game for her! She is doing well doing her dooties outside, though we still have some accidents…my fault, not being quick enough or not watching her closely enough.

She LOVES the blow dryer AND the VACUUM…which is weird…but she is a “helper” she holds the dust pan for me when I sweep, then takes off with it!  Baby baths are fun too! She looks like a little rat, but likes to chase the rubber ducky around the tub. I am hoping she gets used to water and, like her Mom, loves to swim. We will find out this summer when I get a pool for her and Jake.  We are also working on “sit” and “paw”.  She is doing well, but it will take time.  I continue to feel blessed with both of my fur babies! Jake is now starting to play and chase with her. She runs, jumps at his mane, grabs it and then flips because he does not move and she goes flying. So funny to see! She is learning the backyard and has no fear now. She barks when she hears the other dogs in the neighborhood. Our favorite Friday night activity is to watch “the dog whisperer” and “dog town” on national geographic channel. We all bundle up, Bella in my lap, Jake next to us on the floor. It was so funny one night…Dogtown was on and I was working on the computer. Bella just started barking…at the dogs on the TV! I had the volume kind of low, so I couldn’t figure out what she was barking at. But when she stopped during commercials, I figured it out! I am working on a middle name for her. I tend to call her the Bella Baby…or Bella Kisses…not sure which one will stick…Jake is Jacob Elijah, so Bella needs a full name too! She has grown out of her pink “bling” collar and is in a red one for the holidays. I have attached a few pics and re-sent the ones from before in case you didn’t get them. Please do NOT post the Christmas pic with her santa hat unless you crop me out! I had just woken up to open presents and I looked awful!Tricky road trip: hit ice and spun 360 degrees twice end up in median, then an hour later slid off the road into a ditch…Bella never even woke up! We made it safely though, then also made it home safely. We are relaxing today and just chilling out.  More to come soon!

Ollie

Ollie is wonderful.  He gets along with everyone as long as Dan and I talked to them and acknowledge them, he does not like strangers.  He is sooo smart.  He likes our parents dogs and a couple of kids that he has been around (both kids had dogs, so they knew to be gentle).  Ollie just loves to play!!!  He is basically house broken (just rare accidents), he rings bells on the door to go out.  He is such a joy and we really love having him with us.

Cash

He is perfect! Just like one of our kids! We have spoiled him rotten!! I will try to send you some pictures today. We love him so much! He is the boss of the house. He makes us laugh everyday. My son and him play chase around the living room and it is hillarious. First Tucker chases him, then if Cash picks up a toy that means he wants to be chased! LOL He is so funny! We enjoy every minute with him. We have never had an indoor dog, and my husband said he will always have one from now on.

Thanks so much!!
Kristi

Margarita  is now going on one year old this September.

We wanted to share one of Zeek's and Shalamar's first babies born here at Snowbound Schnauzers. Mr CR and Mrs. Ann are one of my BEST families. As you can see Margarita is BEAUTIFUL. I love the ears and tails. As some of you probably remember Margarita with Santa, and with bows in her hair when she was younger.

Hi,

We are in Texas now. Just thought you might like to see Margarita as she
approaches her first birthday.  She is a lot of fun, of course she rules the
house.  We are keeping her in a short cut because the weather here is
awfully hot.  Ann likes her ears long and her tail puffy.  We have been here
since the first of July and it has been 100 or better most of the time.

She loves going to the dog park and playing with the other dogs.  We walk in
the evening around 8 PM, at 7:30 or so she goes to the front door and waits
for one of us to get the leash.  The front windows of the house that we got
are able 6 to 8 inches above the floor, so she spends a lot of time sitting
and watching the world go by.

It is unbelievable how smart she is.  She knows about 90 percent of her
toys, which are many, and when you ask her to go get a specific toy, she
goes and finds it.  Amazes the rest of the family.  Every vet we take her to
is amazed by her bite, the one here took pictures of her bite to show what a
perfect bite looks like. He teaches special courses at Texas A&M.

A lady stopped her car the other day and got out to tell us what pretty dog
she is and wanted to know where we got her.  We told her about your web site.
